Dr. Rangasamy Anand MBBS, MRCP (UK).

 

He had been a practicing Pediatric Intensivist since 2008. Initially, he worked as an intensivist at Valley Baptist Medical Center, Harlingen TX in a 14 bed PICU. In 2014, he joined Covenant Children's Hospital and has been in their PICU since. In his practice, he takes care of a wide spectrum of complex pediatric medical and surgical patients that includes trauma, multi-organ failure, post-operative patients, and sometimes patients on ECMO.

Dr. Anand completed medical school in India at Madras Medical College, Chennai and was awarded his MBBS through Dr. MGR Medical University, Chennai, India. He then completed a four year pediatric residency training in UK followed by a one year pediatric critical care fellowship in UK. While in UK, he obtained MRCP(UK) degree after completing the required training and successfully passing the exam. He then moved to USA to further his training in the field of pediatrics. He completed residency at the Cleveland Clinic Children's Hospital, Cleveland, OH and then completed Pediatric Critical Care Medicine fellowship training at the Children's Medical Center Dallas, attached to University of Texas Southwestern.

In 2014, he partnered with several of like minded colleagues in his field to establish a professional group called Pediatric Intensivists of America. He has served a vital role in the establishment of this group by significant contribution towards the group's clinical contractual obligations at various institutions.
