He has more than 29 years of experience in the field of pediatrics and 17 years in pediatric critical care medicine. He is board certified in both General Pediatrics and Pediatric Critical Care medicine.

He received Pediatric critical care training under the mentorship of Dr Michael O. Ghayl, Dr. Niranjan Kissonn and Dr. DeNicola, from University of Florida. They are the pioneers in the field of pediatric critical care medicine.

He has held faculty appointments at Case Western University of Cleveland, OH, Louisiana State University, Shreveport, LA and Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, TX.

He has been department chair and medical director at several PICU's, pediatric sedation and pediatric hospitalist services. He has been involved in building of several new pediatric critical care programs during his 29 years of career.

He has received research awards from The American Academy of Pediatrics and University for Florida.

He has been a tireless educator of residents, nurses and paramedical staff and has lectured widely during his Academic and Private Practice positions.

He has held several administrative positions in Hospital Committees and executive leadership.

He is one of the founding members and current managing director of Pediatric Intensivists of America (PIA), PLLC, which is poised to become a leading provider of pediatric critical are services in the coming years.

He is married with two children and enjoys playing racquetball, spending time with his family and volunteers in community activities.
